You Weren't Invited is a mystery romance visual novel. The story takes place after a deadly dinner party: you are trapped inside Veyle Manor and must uncover the truth about the death of its owner, Ambrose Veyle. Throughout the game you interact with five women, gathering clues through conversation, tracking contradictions in their testimony, and slowly building your own chain of reasoning. Your choices shape how much each character trusts you, which in turn determines the direction of the story — whether you forge deep emotional bonds, pursue a romantic relationship, or keep your distance and investigate with detachment. The game has multiple endings, and your deductions decide who is ultimately accused and how the story concludes. Built around unreliable memory, ambiguous motives, and cognitive traps, it presents a mystery in which the truth is far more complex than it first appears. The game supports Windows, macOS, and Linux and was developed independently by indie developer CJ.
