Windrose is a pirate-themed PvE survival adventure developed by Kraken Express and jointly published by Kraken Express and Pocketpair Publishing Japan. It launched for Windows through Steam on April 14, 2026. Its procedurally generated open world changes its islands, seas, and dungeons between playthroughs. Players explore, collect resources, build bases, craft weapons and equipment, and construct and sail ships while facing threats on land and at sea. Soulslite combat includes demanding terrestrial and naval bosses. Success depends on reading attack patterns and choosing the right response window. Solo and cooperative play are supported, along with player-hosted dedicated servers. Hunger, thirst, environmental hazards, and weather must be managed while survival abilities and technology develop. Construction covers bases, ship modifications, and equipment production, creating resource loops that support different strategies. Crop cultivation and cooking help sustain long stays on remote islands. The visual and audio design evokes a pirate-era archipelago. Full controller support and Steam Cloud saves are included. Steam lists a Simplified Chinese interface and a localized Chinese title, along with violence and adult-content descriptors.
