TYPE OR DIE is a multiplayer typing battle game. In a village ritual, players face off through typing duels: before the time limit runs out, you must spell the longest word you can from a set of random letters — only the writer of the longest word escapes punishment.
TYPE OR DIE is an online multiplayer competitive game built around typing. It is set in a village that keeps its old traditions alive, and in each ritual round all players simultaneously build words from a randomly displayed column of letters, racing the countdown to spell the longest word. Only the player with the longest word avoids punishment; the other players lose health equal to the word's length. The longer the word, the heavier the penalty — consequences range from healing recovery, to losing a key on your keyboard, to doubled penalties, and all the way to being sacrificed and eliminated on the spot. As a match progresses, keys are destroyed on your keyboard and the letters you can type shrink, making later words considerably harder to form. The game supports two separate word banks, Japanese and English, and includes a romaji-to-kana input mode. Multiplayer matches support up to four players, either through private matches with a room code or through quick matchmaking. The pacing is tense throughout, blending improvisation with raw typing speed.
