Trail & Error is an indie co-op survival game created by solo developer Oberha5li and currently in Steam Early Access. The game supports online co-op for up to four players with proximity voice chat for communication. The core gameplay revolves around driving a physics-simulated wagon down procedurally generated trails. Players must manage their food reserves, health, and disease status while dealing with procedurally generated random events. A run takes roughly two hours, and the pace is decided by the group together. According to the developer, Early Access is expected to last 6 to 12 months. The roadmap includes more trail content, random events, expanded survival systems, improved balance and performance, and ongoing refinements to the multiplayer co-op experience based on community feedback. The base game is fully completable in its current Early Access state.
