Total War: WARHAMMER III is a turn-based strategy and real-time tactics game developed by UK studio Creative Assembly and published by SEGA. The final installment of the Total War: WARHAMMER trilogy, it was released on February 16, 2022, for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Based on the Warhammer fantasy world licensed from Games Workshop, you manage towns and provinces, recruit armies, and set strategy on a turn-based campaign map, then command your troops against other factions in real-time battles. The core loop: turn-based strategy on the campaign map → real-time battle → battle resolution → back to the campaign map to push forward. This entry adds the Realm of Chaos: the four gods of destruction — Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh — pour out of the Chaos gates. You can play as any faction from seven races, including the new Kislev and Grand Cathay, or take the role of the Daemon Prince serving the Chaos gods. The game offers ten Legendary Lords to choose from, each with unique skills and unit rosters. The Daemon Prince can be customized with body parts and abilities, yielding a huge number of combinations. Main modes include: a story campaign built around the Realm of Chaos; Immortal Empires, which combines the trilogy's campaign maps, factions, and races into one and opens part of its content free to players without DLC; and multiplayer supporting eight players in the Realm of Chaos campaign, plus 1v1 Domination mode, story-driven multiplayer campaigns, and ranked/custom battles. The game supports thirteen languages (including Chinese), uses Denuvo anti-tamper technology, and includes a third-party end-user license agreement.
