War echoes endlessly across the Old World, where conflict is the only constant. Total War: WARHAMMER is a fantasy strategy game that combines a turn-based campaign of empire building with large-scale real-time battles in the Warhammer Fantasy setting. Players command five distinct races: Bretonnia, the Empire, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts, and Greenskins. Each has its own characters, units, and style of play. Twelve Legendary Lords from the Warhammer world have unique artifacts and quest chains and can be equipped with weapons, armor, and battle magic. Magic appears in the Total War series for the first time, letting commanders harness the Winds of Magic and ride airborne creatures such as dragons, wyverns, and griffons. Dragons, giants, monstrous cavalry, and other enormous creatures bring destructive force to the battlefield. Developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA, the game launched on Steam on May 24, 2016.
