The First Descendant is a free-to-play third-person co-op action RPG shooter developed by NEXON Games Co., Ltd. and published by NEXON, built with Unreal Engine 5. Players take on the role of Descendants, tasked with defending the continent of Ingris, fighting invaders while gradually uncovering the secrets behind the Descendants. Core gameplay includes: diverse characters — each with a unique personality concept and combat style, with unlockable skins and personality elements; a combination of skills and guns — each character has exclusive skills, a grappling hook for free movement, and a wide range of guns and auxiliary equipment that let players build their own combat style; 4-player co-op against giant bosses — giant bosses have varying difficulty and body part destruction mechanics that test teamwork; and character growth and gear collection — each character can equip 3 guns, 4 auxiliary accessories, and various enhancement items, obtained through story missions, co-op world missions, and boss fights. The game is cross-platform, supporting PC (Steam) and console platforms. The game contains gun- and bomb-related violent scenes and critical hit effects, but no gore — only sound and visual effects.
