TEKKEN 8 is a 3D fighting game released by Bandai Namco Entertainment on January 25, 2024, and the eighth main entry in the series. The franchise reached its 30th anniversary in 2025 with more than 59 million copies sold worldwide. The game features over 32 distinctive playable fighters rendered with high-resolution models designed for current hardware. Its core Heat system lets players enter an empowered state and unleash forceful attacks, while Rage Art can deliver a decisive comeback when a fighter is in danger. The new Special Style control scheme puts strategic moves on single buttons, lowering the barrier for newcomers while preserving the series' underlying competitive depth. Single-player content includes the franchise's long-running main story and Character Episodes that explore individual backgrounds. Arcade Quest follows a customized avatar through different arcades. Ghost battles use AI to reproduce player styles, Match Replay supplies improvement tips, and a detailed customization system changes fighter appearances. Online modes include matchmaking, social interaction in visual lobbies, and cross-platform play. TEKKEN 8 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
