Sea of Thieves is a pirate-themed open-world action-adventure game. Sail alone or with friends across a shared world of islands and underwater kingdoms, take on trading company quests, hunt lost treasure, and battle sea monsters and other player crews. The game keeps evolving, with a new season every three months.

Sea of Thieves delivers an authentic pirate experience built around sailing, combat, exploration, and plundering. You can set out with a full crew or raise anchor alone; in this shared world you are guaranteed to cross paths with other crews, and whether they become allies or enemies is up to you. The world is filled with natural islands and underwater kingdoms, where you can accept trading company quests in search of lost loot, fight enemies such as phantoms, ocean crawlers, megalodons, and the kraken, or go fishing, draw treasure maps, and complete hundreds of optional objectives. As a live-service game, Sea of Thieves releases a new season every three months, bringing fresh game content and regular in-game events. Each season features 50 Renown levels: by piling up loot and building reputation, you can pursue different growth paths — adventurer, explorer, conqueror, and more — and carve out your own personal style. The game supports cross-platform multiplayer, online co-op, and PvP, and is developed by Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios.
