Palia is a free-to-play fantasy life-simulation MMO developed by the US studio Singularity 6, playable solo or cooperatively with other players. Set in a fantasy world of the same name, it spans four regions — Kilima Valley, Bahari Bay, the Evergreen Forest, and the Royal Highlands — where you can freely explore and gather rare insects and plant materials. The core gameplay covers: completing main and side quests to advance the story and learn about an ancient human civilization; crafting weapons, tools, clothing, and other items at workbenches from gathered materials; building a house and arranging yards and gardens on your own plot; raising cute animal companions; and developing affinity relationships with a cast of villagers with distinct personalities. The game runs on a seasonal model: each season introduces new events, community quests, progression tracks, and surprise content for the multiplayer community. Palia also includes a home-showcase feature that lets players visit one another's designs for inspiration. The game is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the initial PC and console release in August 2023.
