Overprint is an indie roguelike bullet-heaven game made by 5 Star Software, a solo developer. Set in a haunted letterpress print shop, it casts players as a night-shift print worker who clocks in at 10 p.m. and holds off wave after wave of “printer's devils” surging out of the presses until the newspaper goes to press at 6 a.m. The core gameplay is top-down bullet-heaven survival: players pick different tools to answer each enemy push, mixing narrative with demanding combat. The game costs $4.99 and is released for Windows on Steam only. The developer is also working on a narrative tabletop-simulation title called The Determinators.
