Nuclear Option is a near-future flight simulation shooter developed and published by independent studio Shockfront Studios. It entered Steam Early Access on October 15, 2023. The game emphasizes immersive flight physics as players pilot futuristic aircraft across a dynamic battlefield against threats on land, at sea, and in the air. Solo missions against AI and multiplayer aerial combat are available, with advanced weapon systems that include tactical and strategic nuclear arms. Features include Steam Workshop support, a level editor, online PvP and cooperative play, and a first-person viewpoint. The interface is currently available only in English. The developer plans to keep the game in Early Access until 2027 or later, adding more aircraft, missions, weapons, ground units, and multiplayer stability improvements. Its Steam user rating was Overwhelmingly Positive, with 95% positive reviews from a total of 8,252.
