METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version is a stealth action game developed by KONAMI and the fourth entry in the Metal Gear series. The story takes place five years after the Big Shell incident. War has fully become a business run by private military companies (PMCs), and the global economy is deeply tied to conflict. Liquid Ocelot, who controls five major PMCs behind the scenes, plans a larger insurrection to realize the same ideal as the series' central figure Big Boss: to build a world where soldiers can find meaning in life. Solid Snake, who carries Big Boss's genes, faces his final battle as a soldier, centered on the theme of SENSE. The core gameplay continues the series' signature Stealth Action system: you complete infiltration missions without being detected, advancing the story by avoiding combat and staying hidden. The game offers a third-person over-the-shoulder view, a variety of disguises and infiltration options, and dynamic interplay with enemy AI. As a Master Collection version, this release targets PC via Steam with a release date of August 27, 2026. Supported languages include Simplified Chinese interface (no audio or subtitles), English, French, Italian, German, and others. It is marked as single-player and includes Steam achievements and trading cards. In terms of content, the game features frequent violence and gore as well as adult content, with a PEGI 18+ rating and the corresponding keywords Violence, Bad Language.
