About Lost Ark

Lost Ark is a free-to-play MMO action RPG developed by South Korea’s Smilegate, using an isometric view and real-time action combat. After reaching level 50 through the main story, players enter item-level progression across eight-player raids, Guardian Raids, Chaos Dungeons, Abyssal Dungeons, and other endgame challenges. Card collections, daily and weekly tasks, and seasonal systems support continued character growth. It launched on Steam in January 2022.

Lost Ark is a free-to-play MMO action RPG developed by South Korean company Smilegate. Amazon Game Studios publishes the PC version in Western regions, with operations expected to return to Smilegate in early 2027. Combat uses an isometric perspective and real-time, non-targeted action. After creating a character, players follow the main story across Arkesia to level 50, then enter an endgame loop centered on Item Level. Activities include the eight-player Kazeros Raid series in Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties; two-player Guardian Raids; daily and weekly Chaos and Abyssal Dungeons; matchmade Shadow Raids for solo players or parties; and solo versions of selected dungeons. More than 900 collectible cards provide stat bonuses and special effects when equipped. Other progression and monetization systems include the Paradise season, Stronghold housing, guilds, daily attendance, cosmetic stores, and a battle pass. Combat builds primarily combine effects through Engravings. The game supports languages including English and Spanish. An August 2026 announcement states that Spanish support will be removed in October 2026.
