IRON NEST is a single-player heavy-artillery simulation with a dieselpunk setting. Under orders from High Command, the player operates the gun system aboard a massive war machine alone. The central loop has three stages. First, frontline intelligence is converted into a firing plan by measuring trajectories from map coordinates. Next, hydraulic systems control gun elevation and propellant charge while loading, aiming, and firing are completed manually. Finally, the player observes the impact point and evaluates the shot. Armor-piercing, smoke, and chemical shells serve different tactical purposes. IRON NEST launched on Steam for Windows on August 6, 2026. It was independently developed and published by Nick Nieuwoudt. Its Steam page shows approximately 11,000 reviews with an approval rate of about 97%. Future plans have mentioned skirmish and multiplayer modes.
