Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a 50v50 large-scale multiplayer first-person shooter set in the Vietnam War, developed by Expression Games and published by Team17. Set on the battlefields of 1960s Vietnam, you choose a side between the North Vietnamese Army and the US military, joining a 50-player team made up of multiple squads. Core gameplay emphasizes teamwork and tactical coordination: follow the chain of command, with the commander issuing strategic orders while squads (infantry, reconnaissance, armor, mortar, and helicopter units) coordinate to set objectives and execute them. You can choose from 17 specialized classes, including infantry squad leader, rifleman, grenadier, engineer, medic, special forces, and machine gunner; the reconnaissance observer and sniper; the armor tank commander and crew; the US-only helicopter logistics officer and pilot; and the mortar squad observer, support, and gunner. Vietnam-specific mechanics are featured: the North Vietnamese Army can build tunnel networks for hidden ambushes, US forces can operate helicopters for fire support and supply drops, and both sides can drive patrol boats with heavy weapons through riverine areas. An enhanced movement system supports swimming, climbing, fast prone movement, and dragging injured teammates. Gameplay includes Conflict mode (50v50 tug-of-war over 5 sectors) and Offensive mode (attackers vs defenders), fought across 6 large maps based on real locations.
