Players start out as tourists, exploring Japanese culture and car culture across a vast map that includes Tokyo's urban areas, diverse biomes, and vertical terrain. The game features more than 550 real-world vehicles, including classic JDM models, and players can take part in touge battles, convoy activities, and a wide variety of events. Starting as rookie drivers, players progress by completing collection logs and advancing in the Horizon invitational tournaments to earn higher-level wristbands, ultimately unlocking the exclusive Legend Island. The game supports a single-player campaign and co-op multiplayer, and includes activities such as time trials, drag races, and car meets. Players can purchase properties with customizable garages, build freely in the Estate valley, and collaborate with the community to create content through EventLab and Horizon CoLab. The game requires 64-bit Windows 10 22H2 and a minimum of 167 GB of SSD storage.
