About Fields of Mistria

Fields of Mistria is a retro pixel-art farming RPG in which players run a farm, make friends, explore ruins, and experience romance and magic in the village of Mistria.

After an earthquake awakens ancient magic, players arrive in the pastoral village of Mistria and inherit an overgrown plot of land with considerable potential. Retro pixel art supports a blend of farming, life simulation, and RPG systems. Farming, fishing, mining, and crafting develop the homestead from neglected ground into a personal home. Animals can be raised and bred for rare color variations. More than 30 villagers have distinct personalities, and 12 are available as romance options who can eventually form a family with the player. A magic system unlocks abilities that assist with both farming and exploration. Seasonal festivals, recurring quests, and changing villager outfits give each period new objectives. Ancient ruins contain enemies and treasure, adding combat and character progression to village life. Designed as a spiritual successor to late-1990s farming RPGs, the game combines classic pixel-art traditions with detailed character dialogue. Independent developer NPC Studio released it in Early Access for PC on August 5, 2024, followed by the full release on August 5, 2026.
