About Drone Sector

Drone Sector is a futuristic drone gunship support tactics game that blends fire support with drone command: play as a gunship pilot providing firepower for ground squads while directing them through mission objectives.

Drone Sector blends the close air support role of a gunship with the reconnaissance and mission-command functions of drones. Set in a future world and inspired by real-world aircraft like the AC-130 gunship and the MQ-9 Reaper drone, the game puts you in the cockpit of an advanced aircraft armed with heavy firepower to carry out complex and dangerous missions. It is not a pure military simulator; the focus is on tactical planning and execution. During missions, you guide ground squads through enemy territory to complete objectives, using precise commands to help them avoid traps and overwhelming firepower to suppress high-priority threats. Facing numerical disadvantages, you must lean on the superiority of your technology to turn the tide. Before each mission you also make resource-collection decisions — send squads into buildings or key areas to gather resources and research documents, but staying too long risks encirclement, so you have to weigh risk against reward. Back at base between missions, you can upgrade your gunship, squads, and weapons, manage ammunition production, and research new technology. The current version is in early access and includes 10 maps, 7 guns, 2 infantry squad types, and 6 vehicle squad types, with sandbox and career modes. The game supports Simplified Chinese and other languages; its Steam page notes that non-English localization consists of AI-translation placeholders.
