A neon-styled beat-'em-up that fuses rhythmic combat with music. You play Charlie Disco, fighting villainous idols and getting the band back together.
Dead as Disco is a rhythm-action beat-'em-up with a neon visual style. You control the protagonist Charlie Disco, fighting villainous idols in combat synced to flashing neon and music, with the goal of avenging and reuniting his bandmates. Every punch, kick, and combo lands in time with the beat, since the combat is deeply tied to the music. The game is in early access. Its "Infinite Disco" mode offers more than 30 tracks, and you can bring in your own custom music to build personal challenges. As you defeat idols, you unlock their unique skills and skill trees — more than 30 skills in total. You can also collect souvenirs to restore the "The Encore" music club and unlock skins and accessories to customize your characters. The story centers on the mystery of Charlie Disco's death. The villains include former punk rocker Hemlock, AI idol Arora, electronic guitarist Dex, and rap producer Prophet. Dead as Disco is developed by Brain Jar Games and launched on Steam Early Access on May 5, 2026, for PC.
