Cities: Skylines is a modern city-management simulation developed by independent Finnish studio Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive. It first launched in March 2015 and is available on PC through Steam, Epic and WeGame, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and the Microsoft Store. Beginning with empty land, players plan roads, assign residential, commercial, and industrial zones, and meet public needs including education, water, electricity, policing, fire protection, and healthcare. Citizens respond to conditions in real time, linking the economy with public satisfaction. District policies can change development and resident behavior within selected areas. Public transport includes roads, metro lines, buses, trains, aircraft, and ships. Extensive mod support through Steam Workshop allows custom maps, buildings, and gameplay systems to be shared. Paid DLC has added themes including day and night, severe weather, industry, mass transit, parks, universities, and airports.
