Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the third main entry in the Black Ops series. Released for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and other platforms on November 5, 2015, it includes Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, and was the first PC entry in the series to provide mod tools.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. Part of the Call of Duty franchise's Black Ops subseries, it launched worldwide on November 5, 2015, for Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and other major platforms. It combines three principal modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. The Campaign is set in the near future of 2065. Players control an enhanced soldier carrying out classified missions on high-tech cybernetic battlefields as the story follows an elite special-operations unit. Multiplayer continues the series' fast-paced competitive style with multiple rulesets, scorestreak rewards, and new movement mechanics. Zombies retains the series' signature survival format, asking players to withstand repeated waves of the undead. The Zombies Chronicles add-on remasters eight classic Zombies maps from Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II. The Windows version on Steam also offered a public beta of mod tools for player-made and community content. The Steam store page lists both Simplified and Traditional Chinese interface support.
