Bookshop Simulator is a bookshop management simulation game. Players start with a small boutique bookshop and grow it into a retail empire by stocking and selling products such as books, manga, and board games, using the profits to decorate and expand the store. Players buy shelves, arrange products, and operate the cash register to complete sales; as the business grows, cashiers and stock clerks can be hired to share the daily work. The game also supports expansion across locations, with France and Japan as the first regions available in Early Access, and players can travel between shops in different regions to optimize profits. Profits can be spent customizing the storefront, including walls, floors, carpets, plants, and wall decorations, as well as creating dedicated book sections or a cozy reading corner. The game includes used book crates that may yield rare mythical books with special bonus effects. Players can also adopt a cat to keep customers company in the store, buying it food, beds, and other supplies. The game is currently in Early Access.
