Beyond the Room is the eighth title in Dark Dome's escape room series, a point-and-click horror puzzle game. You play Darien, a curious protagonist who enters alone a building abandoned for six years, rumored to be tied to rituals, witchcraft, and murder, following a mysterious signal from the fifth floor to uncover the truth.

The game is set in a building abandoned for six years, rumored to have a dark past — rituals, witchcraft, and murder. The protagonist Darien is intensely curious about the building but has nightmares every time he gets close to it. One night, flickering lights and a mysterious figure appear on the building's fifth floor; feeling that someone needs help, Darien decides to enter alone to investigate. Across the building's floors, you click on objects in the scenes to interact with them, search for useful hidden items — some of which can be combined to create new tools — and pay attention to details in the eerie environment to move the story forward. The game includes many carefully designed puzzles and obstacles: your goal is to solve the puzzles on each floor, rescue the trapped girl, and uncover the story's ending. There is also an extra challenge of finding 10 hidden shadows tucked into corners and unexpected places that tests your observation skills. The soundtrack and art create an immersive horror atmosphere, and the story intertwines with other Dark Dome series titles such as Nowhere House, together building the interconnected story world of Hidden Town.
