It runs on the in-house Enfusion engine and delivers realistic military combat. Core modes include: Everon — an open-world sandbox where players can freely explore, build, and fight; Conflict — a faction-versus-faction multiplayer mode in which players join different forces to fight over objectives; Combat Ops — squad-based tactical missions; and Game Master — a game master mode where players can customize mission scenarios. The game supports the Workshop, letting console players download community-created mods. The setting is the fictional Arctic island of Everon and the surrounding area. Arma Reforger is positioned as a bridge to Arma 4, carrying the series' signature realistic weapons, vehicle systems, and open battlefield design.
