7 Days to Die is an open-world zombie survival crafting game developed and published by the American studio The Fun Pimps, LLC. Set in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by zombies, you play as a survivor seeking to stay alive in a dangerous open environment. The game blends first-person shooting, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing. Core gameplay covers: exploration — five distinct biomes and a world of up to 100 square kilometers to roam freely; crafting — over 500 recipes for making weapons, clothing, armor, tools, vehicles, and other items by hand, with schematics found in the world teaching higher-tier recipes; building — fortify bases with traps, electrical systems, automated turrets, and automatic doors to hold off zombie attacks in a fully destructible and reshapeable world; combat — nearly 60 unique zombie types, including special infected with distinct behaviors and attack patterns; and character growth — skills under five attributes and more than 100 books that let you improve your character. The game offers procedurally generated random worlds and the preset Navezgane story world, with solo play as well as multiplayer co-op or competitive modes. It first launched in 2016 on PC (Windows/macOS/Linux) and later received console versions. According to the Steam page, the developers list explicit violence, shock and horror content, and drug use in the content description.
