Xbox Wire has published a hands-on preview of Exodus, the cinematic single-player action RPG published by Wizards of the Coast. The game is scheduled to launch for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC on April 7, 2027, with Xbox Play Anywhere support at no additional cost between those platforms.

The gamescom 2026 demo followed protagonist Jun on a rescue mission aboard an invaded space station. The preview emphasizes the weight and flexibility of combat: the Recycler can transform between weapon types, while crafted grenades and cooldown-based Celestial abilities create more tactical options. Companions such as the stealth-focused Suliman and explosive specialist Elise can change how encounters unfold, and the Traveler Oaths system gives them different reactions to Jun’s moral choices.
